Stronger Together

Brief

To create a hard hitting, educational film for use as a training tool across the UK, bringing to life the growing issue of labour exploitation in migrant workers.

What we produced

A reconstruction based on 2 real life case studies from 2012. The film tells the story of Daniel & Weronika, who both suffered at the hands of gang masters and were trapped in an exploitative situation without knowing which way to turn for help. The case studies were chosen as ‘typical cases’, with hundreds of similar stories happening on a regular basis throughout the UK. The project sponsors backing the initiative now consist of major supermarket retailers The Co-Operative, M&S, Sainsbury's, Tesco and Waitrose.

What they said

"From project inception to delivery, the Community Film Unit have delivered a fully professional service. The process was expertly managed, relationships sensitively handled and the team gained trust from the outset. The outcome is a video that delivers against the objectives set, but more than that, it is a truly excellent piece of work that will make a difference. Use this Company – they are good."
